Northwest Chaplaincy has responded to disasters and critical incidents such as Hurricane Sandy, the Moore Oklahoma Tornadoes, the Okanogan Fires in Eastern Washington, and the Marysville, WA, High School shooting.  Our team has provided meals for first responders, and provided Critical Incident Stress debriefings and compassionate care for victims of these incidents, and for the first responders, who are often secondary victims of such incidents.  Our work is ongoing to continue establishing response teams, and to provide training opportunities for those chaplains and individuals who would like to be prepared and qualified to respond in the event of a disaster or critical incident.
