Law Enforcement Chaplaincy:
Northwest Chaplaincy believes the compassionate care we provide to members of the  law enforcement community enriches and benefits lives by providing the kind of emotional and spiritual support our officers need to better cope with the stressful nature of their jobs. This benefit extends to the officers’ families,  law enforcement agencies as  a whole, and ultimately the citizens.

The desired outcome of the chaplaincy program is healthier marriages and families, with goals of significantly lowering divorce rates, lowering instances of substance abuse and domestic violence among officers, raising morale, and providing education in the areas of stress management, and suicide prevention.

Northwest Chaplaincy's staff care about the law enforcement community and believe this is one way we can give back to the men and women who lay their lives on the line each day for the safety of the citizens they serve.

Disaster/Critical Incident Response:
Northwest Chaplaincy believes the compassionate care and Critical Incident Stress Management that we provide following a natural disaster, act of terrorism, or critical incident, is vital to the psychological healing and well-being of the victims of critical incidents, and the first responders.  The techniques that are used are those taught by the Critical Incident Stress Foundation, an international program, recognized by the United Nations.  Such defusings and debriefings have been called "Psychological First-Aid, and have been found to be of great benefit in highly stressful environments.
